The best FIFA game on the DS
FIFA, that's not for me, I always thought. That was at least until I started playing FIFA 11. I've always avoided FIFA games, after all, I wasn't really a football fan. But one day I saw such a good deal, I couldn't pass up this game. I started playing the game and was pleasantly surprised. The art style, although pixelated, I found beautiful. The gameplay was also more fun than I had imagined. However, this game has a problem.

Since FIFA 11, as the name suggests, is from 2011, many contemporary football stars are not in this game and many players who are in it have retired from the sport. This may take some getting used to for those who have played much newer FIFA games. For me, it wasn't such a big issue, as I didn't follow football anyway and had never played other FIFA games.

Still, I must say, despite this game still holding a weak spot in my heart and introducing me to the FIFA series, the newer FIFA games are a lot better. A lot of nostalgia, but moderately meeting contemporary expectations.
