Product Description

Haha! Here we have a real gem for the Nintendo DS: Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. This game takes you on an epic adventure full of magic, puzzles, and battles. Developed by Camelot Software Planning and published by Nintendo, this is the third installment in the beloved Golden Sun series. You play as Matthew, the son of the heroes from the previous games, and you must save the world from a new threat. Fantastic, isn't it?
The gameplay revolves around exploring different areas, solving challenging puzzles, and collecting Djinns, magical creatures that grant you powers. The battles are turn-based and require strategic planning. The gorgeous graphics and immersive music complete the experience. It's truly a game you can enjoy for hours!

Historical Context

Golden Sun: Dark Dawn was released in 2010 and was a long-awaited sequel to Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age, which came out in 2001 and 2002 respectively for the Game Boy Advance. The first two games were praised for their deep story and innovative gameplay mechanics. Dark Dawn continued this tradition and introduced new characters and improved graphics, making it a must-have for both old and new fans.

Expert Reviews

IGN gave the game an 8.5/10 and stated: "Golden Sun: Dark Dawn is a worthy successor to the original games, with a captivating story and engaging gameplay." GameSpot also praised the game, giving it an 8/10: "With its charming characters and intricate puzzles, Dark Dawn is a delightful RPG experience."

Is This for You?

This game is perfect for fans of classic RPGs and adventure games. If you enjoy deep stories, strategic battles, and puzzles, then Golden Sun: Dark Dawn is definitely for you. Even if you've played the earlier Golden Sun games, this one is a must-play. Fantastic for both young and old!

Similar Games

If you like Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, there are a few other games that you might find interesting. Consider Chrono Trigger for the DS, another classic with a deep story and turn-based battles. The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is also a recommendation for fans of adventurous puzzle games.

Mr M's Adventures

Haha! If I were in the world of Golden Sun: Dark Dawn with my best friends Yoshi and Luma, that would be truly Fantastic! We would embark on a quest together to find Djinns and solve puzzles. Yoshi, with his long tongue, would discover all sorts of hidden treasures, and Luma, with his magical powers, would assist us in battles. Together, we would save the world and turn it into an unforgettable adventure. How cool!

Last time Golden Sun
Dark Dawn is the third installment in the Golden Sun series, following 2 successful parts on the GBA. The story takes place years after the first installments, and this time you play with the children of the main characters from the previous parts. Especially if you have played the first parts, you might feel the beginning of the game as a bit forced hand-holding, although the visuals are beautiful for a game on the DS, and I wasn't too bothered by the long intro of the game. But once you are set free, the beautiful moments return just like you experienced in the previous parts. The only downside for me was that there is a point of no return, so make sure you have found all Djinn. Unfortunately, it was not a commercial success, and we are still waiting for a sequel?

Load your game and sail south from Tonfon, eventually you will encounter a peninsula at the edge of the world.

There will be a large whirlpool there after you have defeated the final boss.
